We have been to this Café several times. The fried pies are very good. The cinnamon rolls are worth having often. The yeast rolls they give you are also excellent! I have had the chicken livers and my wife had the chicken strips. Both entrees were very good! We have a lot more menu items to try. We will continue to patronize this Café!

The owner refused service to a homeless man who was there to eat as a guest with a paying customer...despicable! I will never patronize this restaurant.

My usual catfish place is closed for remodeling and I been trying to fill it with another catfish place, I heard that Jimmies was a good place for catfish. I went there today around 10am, I was quickly seated, and the waiter took care of me politely and fast. I ordered the catfish 8 pieces, with fries and onion rings. The catfish was good but not what I'm used to, the fries were not so good, the onion rings were pretty averaged. Over all I give it a 3 star for good service but, not another because I won't be coming back.

A friend and I drove to Oklahoma city from tulsa (2 hours) because I won two free entrees. Ever since I saw that they had fried pies, I've been dying to go. Never had them and since this restaurant was good 'ol country food, I figured I hit the jackpot. My friend and I were immediately greeted when we entered which was nice. It was around 630 pm so there was a small dinner rush but by no means packed. The hostess got our drinks as we browsed the menu until our waitress arrived. Let me stop right here and point out that the service was fantastic. Our drinks were refilled as soon as they were near empty. Not just by our waitress, but everyone did their part and made sure we were doing ok. Unfortunately, that was the best part of our experience. So our order was taken, we both ordered the fried catfish which came with two sides and a cucumber salad. She got the tabouli and fried okra. I got the corn (I ordered mac and cheese but they ran out) and fried okra and cheese fries as an appetizer. Our food came with in 10 minutes of ordering. Which was rather curious considering everything is supposed to be homemade. This includes my cheese fries that avidly came after our dinner. Immediately we both notice that most of our food is cold. Fried okra....cold. Cheese fries......cold. Corn....cold. Her tabouli was cold, which it's supposed to be, but she said it lacked flavor. So the catfish was mediocre at best. It was just barely warm. Flavor was ok, but the breading mix at the store is better. So the last thing we got were the apple fried pies. Which was literally like taking every sexy thought you've ever had, and putting them in a pillowy crust and eating it. The crust is not crunchy which for me is perfect. I will say that if you want a crunchier crust, take it home and put it in the oven and let it crisp up. It's jusT absolutely delicious, plain and simple. One thing we also noticed was that the owner walked around and talked to every table in there, but never came to ours. Isn't something that's expected but it would have been nice to have been checked on by him also. Overall, we both felt underwhelmed with our dinner. But the excellent customer service helped redeem them. They would have gotten a lower score had it not been for that. I'm more than willing to try them again. If for nothing else than the fried pies.

This place is busy, so you need to have patience. It was noon on a Sunday. I wasn't immediately greeted when I walked in, but I was noticed. They acknowledged my solo party and sat me at one of two available tables(which were two seaters). once I was seated the care poured on. After a few minutes and one followup later I was ready to order. The menu has a lot of great items on it, and I can't wait to try more. The waitstaff is wonderful and all very kind and caring. I can understand why the gentleman next to me has been coming to the restaurant for 30+ years. they have four or five televisions Everyone wins at Jimmy's Round Up Cafe. Way to go Jimmy's.

Jimmy's is full of the best comfort food around. We come here for office birthdays and it never disappoints. The rolls and the fried pies are to die for!!! I always get the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes. Then a peach fried pie for dessert. The waitresses and hostess are super nice and the atmosphere is casual. Breakfast is served all day.

The food was excellent. We had chicken fried steak and chicken and dumplings. The rolls are huge and taste fresh and homemade. My husband said he would go back, that definitely means it was good as far as he is concerned! He's very picky!

Had dinner at Jimmys after I'd been tagged on facebook for two free dinners. Everyone was awesome and friendly. Food was very very good with huge portions and quick service. We enjoyed our dinners, got an extra order of ribs to go along with cinnamon rolls for breakfast in the am. Hope you give them a try!

Lots of people love this place - I do too! Try chicken livers or chicken fried steak-- no body that eats here looks like they hang out at Gold's Gym- Maybe that's the point- you come here looking for great biscuits and cream gravy Or fried okra or those home made fried pies--- yummy! You are going feel like ur's 1952 back on the farm with great ingredients and friendly people.

The wait staff was friendly and the food was hot... the only reason I didn't give it 5 was the pork sandwich. I kept pulling chunks of slimy fat off of the sandwich. After 2 bites I just decided to take this home to my dog. The hot beef and regular burgers were good. Loved the onion rings. If I go back I will definitely not order the pork sandwich.

Best greasy spoon on the south side! The kitchen is slow but it's worth it. Don't go in your lunch break though. Also the pies aren't that great :-/

Delicious down home cooking. The Catfish is the best I've tasted in Oklahoma. The Chicken fried steak is huge. The green beans are awesome seasoned with bacon and onions. The potatoes are fresh not frozen or from a box. The rolls are huge and served with sweet cinnamon butter. The staff are do nice. The owner walks around and visits tables. You won't leave hungry and want to go back.

Yes just like grandparents' home cooking! I was on my way to Del Rancho for a big steak sandwich supreme and at the light of SW 59th street n Blackwelder Ave. I saw Jimmy's Round up Cafe and Catering. I went through the drive through and ordered kids Chicken fried steak with brown gravy of the steak and mash potatoes. Kudos to Jimmy's for having brown gravy. I also received corn and a hot dinner roll. They were all out of fried cabbage; it must be a favorite side. I was a bit upset about that, but that gives me a reason to go back and try it. They were also out of a lemon fried pie. So I opted for the last Peach Fried pie. They did offer to cook me a fresh lemon pie, but I didn't want to wait 8 minutes and then wait for the pie to cool. You can't eat fresh hot pie; you will burn your mouth and lips. Trust me I learned my lesson as a kid lol. I am kind of glad they were out of my second choice of pie because when I got my order the sack was super heavy. I thought I must have someone else's order and not mines. The first thing I see is the massive peach fried pie. It was the heaviest pie I've ever held in my hand in life. I don't know why I expected this little bitty fried pie as some restaurants make. It was the bomb! The chicken fried steak was made to order and the brown gravy set it off. A must try if you want some down home cooking. The prices are reasonable. Also the decor of the restaurant looks like one of those movie diner scenes in Hollywood!

On Tuesdays and Thursdays you can get a half pound burger of your choice which comes to about three bucks. You can't find a better burger at that price anywhere in town! Delicious! I can feed three of us with two burgers and one order of fries for less than $10...!! I can't even do that at McDonald's!
